We recognize that financing a Christian education can present challenges for many families. Please know that we will make every effort to make it financially possible for you and your children to become and remain part of the Tacoma Baptist Schools family.
The following information is provided to make the tuition assistance process as simple as possible.
HOW DOES TUITION ASSISTANCE WORK?
*Please note: Your account must be current to receive tuition assistance.
Tacoma Baptist Schools utilize the online service FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment (FGAA) to process tuition assistance applications.
FGAA does not decide whether tuition assistance will be given or how much to give; rather it provides a recommendation of what a family should reasonably be able to contribute toward tuition. All information submitted to FGAA is kept confidential. Results are reviewed by our Tuition Assistance Committee. The committee considers several factors when making a decision:
· FGAA assessment results
· Academic Achievement + Christian Conduct
· Availability to Volunteer
· Staying Current on Financial Obligations
Families will receive a phone call to discuss the status of their tuition assistance award after the committee has reviewed their file.
HOW DO I APPLY?
Please note: A FACTS account will be required in order to apply for tuition assistance. Tuition assistance applications will be available through your FACTS login.
To start the process, apply online at online.factsmgt.com/aid
Step 1: Create or sign into your FACTS account.
Step 2 Complete the Grant and Aid Application. (Live Help is available by clicking on the green tab on the upper right hand side of the form or by calling 1.866.441.4637)
Step 3: Upload all the supporting documentation. The tax documents needed to verify your application are listed on the FGAA Checklist (found online). Draft or Preview Copy tax documents will not be accepted.
It will take approximately 2-4 weeks for your online application and supporting tax documents to be processed. FGAA can verify receipt of documents after they are loaded into their system, which can take approximately 2 to 3 business days. Faxed or copied applications will not be accepted.
Please note: The FGAA application fee is paid directly to FGAA, and is non-refundable.
WHEN DO I APPLY?
* Tuition assistance applications for 2017-2018 will be accepted beginning in late January 2017.
Families must reapply for tuition assistance each school year. Accounts must be current to receive tuition assistance.
Current Families: A complete FGAA tuition assistance application and supporting documentation must be submitted each year. Families whose accounts are in good standing may apply for tuition assistance after completing the Continuous Enrollment process (including all supplemental form and fees).
New Families: The FGAA tuition assistance application can be submitted any time after your application for enrollment and application fees have been submitted. A FACTS tuition account must be opened prior to receiving tuition assistance. The admissions process will not be considered complete if a FACTS account has not been created.

WHAT IF IT ISN'T ENOUGH?
If you decide you must decline the tuition assistance award and pursue your student's education elsewhere, the New Student Registration fee (or the Continuous Enrollment payment for returning students) will be refunded, less $25.
