The TBS administrative team, faculty, and staff are excited to have our students back on campus this fall.  Ensuring your child's safety, as well as the safety of our faculty and staff, is our number one priority. We've already enjoyed seeing our student athletes safely return to practices for the last couple of weeks.
We are happy to share the following highlights of our reopening plan with more details to follow next week:
  • 5 days a week, on campus, in-person instruction with campus open regular hours
  • Students per classroom will be limited to 16-20, depending on physical classroom size, in order to accommodate social distancing standards
  • Face coverings will be worn when social distancing is not possible (hallways, classroom movement away from desks, bathrooms, and as requested by teachers, etc…)
  • Temperature & Health Screenings, as well as three division specific entry points (including buses), for all faculty, staff, students, and volunteers
  • Increased buliding sanitation and daily hygiene standards (hand washing, sanitizer, etc…)
  • Positive COVID test protocols
Additional details regarding all of the above points will be sent out next week.
*All above decisions are subject to change in compliance with future Washington State School Mandates.

Dear TBS Families,
We are working hard over the summer to create the best plan for our campus to open in the fall while looking at the OSPI recommendations.
Along with their recommendations, we are also referencing the June 18 Phase 1-3 Religious and Faith-based Organization COVID-19 Requirements from the Governor's Office as well as all of the checklists, models, and documents being provided the from Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
The Administrative Leadership Team, along with the TBS COVID-19 Task Team and the Board of Directors, will be continuing to build the strong educational program that you have come to expect here at Tacoma Baptist Schools.
