About

Who Are We?
Tacoma Baptist Schools offer a Christ-centered education that encourages students, preschool through 12th grade, to develop as DiscipleLeaders who are growing in faith, knowledge, and service.

Our students benefit from small class sizes and a welcoming, family atmosphere. They are challenged to achieve in the classroom by caring teachers who know them, and push them to reach their full potential.

At TBS, every class is taught from a Biblical perspective. Daily Bible classes and weekly chapel services instill the foundational truth of the Gospel, encourage students to make their faith their own, and equip them to defend it.

We are passionate about providing our students with an education that equips them to succeed spiritually, academically, and socially.

Let us partner with you in making the best educational decision for your child.  We invite you to visit our campus, meet our teachers, talk with our administrators, and learn about all that TBS can offer your family.

Our Heritage
In 1960, Tacoma Baptist Schools was founded by six Baptist churches whose pastors saw the need for Christian education in the Tacoma area.  That rich heritage of Baptist thought and doctrine is still part of the fabric of the school today.

For more than 50 years, TBS has seen God expand its ministry to include students from many churches in the Tacoma area.  Our students represent more than one hundred churches throughout the South Sound.

Our Bible classes teach the basics of the faith and encourage students to make their faith their own. Students graduate with a strong understanding of the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His love and grace, and firmly grounded in the truth of His Word.

Tacoma Baptist Schools are a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  We are accredited with ACSI and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS).
